Generally speaking, lithium batteries can be charged and discharged 300 to 500 times in a life cycle. Therefore, many people believe that as long as the battery is used less, it can extend the battery life to a certain extent. However, they do ignore the nature of the physical component of the battery. When the battery is assembled and walks off the production line, its internal life clock starts to move immediately. Therefore, even if you put the battery aside, the service life of the lithium battery will only end in two to three years. The reason for the decrease in battery capacity is the increase in internal resistance of the battery caused by oxidation. When the resistance of the electrolytic cell reaches a certain point, although the battery can still be fully charged at this time, the battery can no longer release the stored power.
In short, in order to prevent your battery from losing its function prematurely, you should try to follow the following principles in normal use:
1. Avoid complete discharge and charge the lithium battery frequently. Repeated and random charging will cause very little damage to the lithium battery, which can be almost ignored.
2. Put the lithium battery that needs to be shelved in a cool place, and remember not to put it in the refrigerator. Avoid placing it in a car at high temperature. If you want to store it for a long time, charge the battery to 40% before placing it (3.7V~3.8V).
3. If you use a fixed power source most of the time, please remove the battery and place it in a cool place.
4. There is no need to buy spare lithium batteries for storage, which is actually a waste of the battery.
